Scope and current service
This policy describes the current Car Cost Proof website. The application does not include Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, AdSense, advertising trackers, tracking SDKs, or third-party error-monitoring tools. It has no user accounts, customer database, contact form, or email signup.
Calculator inputs
Calculator values are processed locally in your browser, in memory. Pressing Calculate runs the calculation on your device; it does not submit your entries to an external calculation API or our server.
The application does not intentionally store calculator values as user profiles or database records, or persist them in localStorage, sessionStorage, or cookies. In-memory entries are cleared when the page is reloaded or closed, although browser features such as form restoration may retain information independently. Avoid entering names, identification numbers, or other personal details into calculator fields.
Hosting and technical information
Hosting and infrastructure providers may process routine technical information needed to deliver, maintain, and secure the website. This can include IP addresses, browser or device information, request information, timestamps, and security or diagnostic information.
This infrastructure processing is separate from the calculator’s local input handling. It does not mean the application directly stores all such information. Provider practices, security needs, and applicable law can affect processing and retention; this policy does not promise a fixed retention period or the absence of infrastructure logs.
Cookies and browser mechanisms
The application currently does not set non-essential analytics or advertising cookies and does not use browser storage to track visitors. Framework, browser, or hosting functionality may use essential technical mechanisms needed to deliver or protect the site. These are distinct from advertising or analytics tracking.
Advertising and analytics
No advertising or analytics integration is currently installed in the application. If these services are introduced, this policy will be updated to explain their information practices and any applicable choices before they are used.

External websites, including government websites, have their own privacy practices. Following a link may disclose routine request information to that website. Review its privacy policy; we do not control its collection or use of information.
Children
The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. The application does not provide personal-information submission or account features.

We may update this policy as the website or its practices change. The last-updated date will change accordingly. Any additional notice or choices required by applicable law will also be provided.
